Mass Hypnosia, a trio out of San Mateo, Rizal, has been around since 2009 and have already got a couple of split releases and one full-length studio album (titled Attempt to Assassinate, in 2010) out. Toxiferous Cyanide is the band's second one, and man, do they kick ass! It depends, of course, on how you look at things, but if early Kreator, early Sadus, and Blood Feast are those names that have always set a fire under your butt, then look no further. On this album, the trio churns out a ferocious set of malicious, raw, filthy, and merciless sounding Thrash Metal that definitely leaves no one cold. The band's vocalist and guitarist Karl Rosales sounds deceptively like ex-vocalist Gary Markovitch from New Jersey's own Thrash heroes Blood Feast.
Mass Hypnosia seem to understand what it takes to really make pretty impressive and ear-burning Thrash. There's nothing not to like here, especially if you like your Thrash Metal aggressive, face-melting, dangerous, and churned out with a true "thrash-till-death" attitude. MASS HYPNOSIA REEK OF THRASH METAL WITH THEIR EVERY CELL.
